House Above the Beach

Cherish the memories Pismo beach The gentle crash of every wave The scatter of a lizard on the sandy cement front porch Old-style furniture Great-grandfather snoozing Great-grandmother A cup of coffee and a crossword Always welcome Reads you like a book Pie, cobbler, the smell of French toast Made simply with love Sound of the ocean Fine sand between my toes Best memories Owed all to her
