The House of Cards


Kings and Queens rule walls over head The Jacks in precise lines Number and suits containing memories and moments Two of Hearts, Five of Spades A touch of life, a kiss All make up my house of cards Winds come often, swiveling recollections Threatening Ochos and Knaves None yet prevail to bring down the fragile royals Life will shatter one day A moment changing all known before And the winds will take my house of cards And with it, me
