House of Fire

(poems go here) I live in an agonizing fire; One moment, searing fire, the next a cool breeze on my face. Whatever happens within this house that burns, but never crumbles, I will survive it; This is not to say that I am strong; In fact, I am weak. It is simply the painful reality I cannot escape. They say the fire went out, but I never notice. The flames flicker in my eyes, never ceasing, but growing larger all the time. I am not dead, but I am not among the living; My soul is merely stuck in-between the two worlds. How will I ever get out?
