The House Says Hush

This house is quiet for it knows

The little horrors it’s seen the lows

Although there are some happy days

There are more memories that curl the toes

The little girl stops and lays

In hopes the fears will be slayed

In time the fears will be tied

Up inside a mind like maze

She gets asked the question and she lied

That now her life is fine said with a sigh

Even though it did get better

Sometimes it’s still hard to abide

So now she writes, writes in a letter

In hopes that will make things get all better

She wants to run free like an irish setter

She writes away in that long lost letter
