House of Warmth

Morning arises with its pale glow, Peeking through cracks in the blinds, I open bleary eyes and glance around, Startled by the transition from night to day, Murmurs of breakfast chatter below, Steady tick of the clock above, The soft warmth my bed offers, I breathe in greedily, the fresh scent of savory buttermilk pancakes hang in the air, Intermixed with the sweetness of syrup, Such tempting flavors bring excitement, Motivate those in slumber to wake.
