How am I measured?
Am I poured into a measuring cup and given a number? Or am I poured into a regular cup and filled to the brim?
My pants are double digits even though my contents wants to spill
But a number only places order and limits on what's visibly real
I am detached from that which labels me and sets me aside
I am walking without shoes so that the earth and I can get a mutual understanding
I ask it does it feel me because I feel it and it's hard, and during the summer it's temperature makes the concrete too hot to walk on
It's replies said I want to hurt you like you hurt me
Can we blame the earth for wanting to turn on us like a scorned woman?
For it's jealousy when we explore other planets when there is none in comparison?
When we give things human attributes
We display empathy for the things that can't speak
