How Am I Suppose To Be In The Light With You?
Dear Grandma,
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
Saying goodbye, holding your hand
They get their last moments with you,
But when I come, you disappear
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
The ambulance kidnap you from the safety of your home,
Empty breaths
Radioactive scan,
Why didn’t you tell me earlier?
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
Soon you will gain your wings,
The doctors failed like Adam and Eve,
The hospital needs to give you better food,
What do you mean you're dying?
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
One more surgery they said,
Remove the the cause and you’ll be fine,
Soon you will soar the skies,
Will you win the boxing match?
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
Skin deep breaths- starting to recover
Well, they need to cover up that man,
You look worse,
Why can I only be here for five minutes?
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
Hey,
I won the double header today,
Their moving you? Well, let me come
Why don’t you want me here?
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
The death wish came home with her?
Let me see her,
Stop forcing my tail between my legs
She’s about to take flight
How am I supposed to be in the light with her?
Hey,
I can't believe the grim reaper followed you
I love you, remember that,
The stave is getting closer
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
Give me one more minute,
Don’t ring that bell
She’s about to flap her wings
Why are you dressing her in white?
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
Yes, I’m back
Why aren’t you waking up?
You’re not breathing, you have to be alive
Why aren’t you waking up?
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
“Don't leave me now
Now that I need you
How blue and lonely I'd be
If you should say we're through”
How am I supposed to be in the light with you?
From,
Lily
