How Are You?

"How are you?" The cashier asks as I make my way.

"Oh I'm okay, how was your day?"

She answers quietly with slight dismay.

I make my way to the end to leave and pay.

As I leave, my brain becomes a scattered disarray.

What just happend? Why did she answer with such dismay when I asked about her day?

Why did everything become such a scattered array?

Am I really doing just okay?

How are you doing today?
