Yeah, I quit, so what?

Our team was terrible, it sucked

You could tell from the first games

That weren’t on the same page

I was hitting the ball, getting triples

You don’t even know how to hit, something that’s so simple!

I was on a 6 strikeout streak

While you were trying to figure out your cleats

You were hanging out with your friends so much it seemed

Maybe you were starting to bat for the other team

I put you first, you put me last in the line up

No matter how much I did, it still wasn’t enough

Now you’re acting like this isn’t real

Like this is all coming out of left field

Now, playing with my heart, you were good at that

In fact it was probably the thing you were best at

I’m sorry. There’s no easy way to say this

But maybe you need to hit the cages…
