How to be Flawless

It's never an easy thing do

We are the first to see notice our flaws

To see them up close

To judge them for what we think others might see

But in the reflection I see in the mirror and the thoughts in my head

In a way; I am flawless

From the sass of my tone and sarcasm of my diction

To the freckles and birth marks that sprinkle my face

From the curly, wild mane that is easy to get lost in; that flows through my scalp

To the curves that not only depict my smile but that justify my body

I grow to appreciate these things

As hard as it may be

Because it is in the things we dislike about ourselves

That if we learn to love

Make us truly flawless
