How to be hungry

Step 1

The girls at school talk about how they don't want to look like Meridith. (She's in fourth grade and already over 100lbs)

Step 2

They start obsessing in mirrors, flattening down their stomachs, complaining about a foreign thing called "calories."

Step 3

you start to follow what they do, throwing away lunches and using excused of "I'm nt hungry"

Step 4

5 years later you get admitted to an eating disorder treatment center. the feeling of a silicone ng tube sliding it's way down your throat would have made you gag. if you had a gag reflex.

Step 5

You can never forget the feeling of hungry. chasing it until you realize you're close to death, wonderikng if you might actually want to go.
