How to be "me"

Silent struggles hidden in the night

masked by the starlight illuminating the sky

hidden in the corner and just out of sight

the tales of the forgotten, buried by lies

The stories promised to be silenced

out of fear of the doer - being torn  a p a r t

The lies that keep us living created

by the truths ripping seams from our heart

This tall tale of lies will never measure up

to our real lives that are rising above the walls

the ones that aren't 1/2 empty or 1/2 full but filling the cup

Overflowing at the edges to show them, "I'm not just a doll"

How can we truly be ourselves when we

missed the group discussion of, "How to be ME"
