How to Be Me

Poetry has taught me how to be me Even when others didn't want me to be Poetry has taught me how to be confident Even when others wanted the opposite Poetry has taught me how to be strong Even when I was forced to feel like I don't belong Poetry has taught me how to be free Even when I felt a little crappy But this is me In all my glory So accept every bit of it because I've been taught How to be Me
