How Could I

I wanted to say something, but I was scared they wouldn't like it.

I wanted to show off my knowledge, but I was scared they would judge me.

I wanted to kiss him, but I was scared he wouldn't kiss me back.

I wanted to apply for the job, but I was scared they would laugh at my resume.

I wanted to sing at karaoke, but I was scared they would boo me off the stage.

I wanted to travel to Africa, but I was scared I would never come back.

I wanted to stand in the streets and protest, but I was just plain scared.

I wanted to, but how could I?
