How Dare You

How dare you judge me

An honest person that does what he thinks is best

How dare you tell me be an adult

Then treat me like a child

How dare you claim to be the one with morals

When it is you that keeps changing the rules

And punishes me when I try to play by them

How dare you pretend to be perfect

When we are ALL human

How dare you tell me to ‘be who you are’

Then make me fit inside your mold

Then blame us for not stepping outside the mold of life

The mold that you created

It is always my fault and never yours

You are mad that I filled the role that you neglected

And now in your spite, because of your ignorance, your goal is to

Cause me pain to take back something you never had

I am part of the one presenters the dog between the sheep and wolves

You fucking bastard, wolf in sheep’s skin proposing your own thoughts and

Ideas into society then playing with a different set of rules so that you might

Pretend to cover the sins of your past so the flock won’t see what you are

An enemy

An enemy that is so good at his craft that the sheep turn against the dogs

And ostracize the dogs when they do their job

How dare you treat me like an outcast when all you are is an illusion

The dog now shunned by his own people faces the world with

The same mental fortitude that he had when he was

Protecting his own people; defiance

The battle is easy at first but over time the river currents get harder to fight

And cold cuts through and lack of nutrition forces the dog to reconsider

Going back to the flock and when he gives up and heads back the only term

He must adhere to is that of conformity

Because he has been alone for so long he nods and keeps his head down

And slowly the flock and ‘sheep’ that are wolves pick away at the mind

Until the dog decides that emotions are no longer good and trains himself to

Ignore all feeling and the passerby’s ask if he is alright and through his mind

run a million different answer none of which are truly yes but he nods anyway

and in dormancy he stays suppressing the urge to help others

lest he be dismissed from the group

now the time has come when the wolves come to feast on the innocents flesh

and the dog cannot help but step forward and defend the flock

after the wolves have been chased away the flock thanks the dog

the flock ungrateful for the sacrifice banishes the dog again and

back to solitude the dog returns where the rest of his life

he will wonder if it was something he did and why he is the one being

punished

its always the guard dogs that are alone, always on the outside

but willing to die if it might save someone’s life

and society betrays us by pushing us to the outside because

deep down they know they would never have courage to do what needed to be

done and to save face they put the dogs in exile

there is nothing wrong with being a sheep but if you push a dog

eventually the dog will snap and as a last resort he will turn on

the sheep so that they might learn to watch and respect the dogs

dont push them to the outside like a useless piece of machinery

and now the sheep feel justified in banishing the dog when in

reality it’s the sheep’s fault

how dare you refute me

how dare you feel ‘bad’ you were and still are content

with your ignorance which is fine but never again

in time of need do I ever want to hear you say ‘no one

stepped up’ when it was  you and people like you that tell us one thing

then show us with your actions another

how dare you play the innocent card for the deck that you play

with is a forgery

no one is innocent in this regard the sheep for forcing the dogs to change

the dogs for not standing up to the sheep that have not courage

now this dog is coming out of the wilderness teeth bared ready to defend

the sheep that once banished him

yes some sheep may have to be put in their place but

so that one day as the dogs come out of the woods one by one

following their leader, so that he might correct the mistake

sheep know who they are, dogs know themselves too, wolves

were dogs that set out to hurt the sheep to repay them

for an evil that should never have been used

sheep live your lives how you will but do not pretend to be

a dog for that is something that will never be within your grasp

‘cept in dire times

Do not force the dogs to change who they are for they do the things that

Need to be done that you would never do

Dogs stand up for yourselves knowing that sometimes the sheep will need to be

Reminded who you are and that sometimes force will be needed

Dogs be prepared to use the tools you were given to defend the flock

And mentally armor up so when the sheep are ungrateful  you may walk

Into the wilderness with your head held high knowing you will watch

From a far and when the need is dire, step in and fight off the wolves

To slip away quietly in the night once again

How dare you question me

How dare you tell me to change who I am

How dare you make me fit inside of your mold

I leave you now with unseen protecting sometimes walking with you

Other times I will be there but unseen

And now I choose to live in the wilderness away from you and your kind

So that you may think on your

sins
