How Deep is Your Love

I was 15 years old when a boy told said he liked me to my face for the first time. It was the day of the homecoming festival. Music blasting in the background and everybody dancing. It didn't fully register to me until I got home. No boy had confessed anything so bold to me until that day. A few weeks had passed by and another boy confessed his true feelings to me, but this boy was different from the last. He had a criminal record in the past, but that didn't intimidate me due to the 1 year of friendship under our belts. "How deep is your love?" He asked me and I stopped dead in my tracks. He fell back and then told me it was one of his favorite songs. An overwhelming sigh of relief came over me. Later on down the line he told me about his history with other girls. We were only friends, but I could keep putting myself through this. I decided to cut all ties with him. A wave of confusion hit me and I ignored it. I never told my parents.
