How did I grow up?

Defining time was first,

asking the length of the year.

Against the window as rain burst,

time became the endless frontier.

Turning five a sublime delight,

thrilled to become a Kindergartener.

A third brother is born and quite the sight,

I retire from being the youngest daughter.

A little more self control,

unnamed hormones were aflame.

To education I enroll,

the whole of my cerebral mainframe.
