How do I grasp this

How do I grasp this feeling

this all just overwhelming

I can’t take not being

able to speak

Not being able to breath

Not being able to see

See what’s really wrong

I’m being choked by everyone

Their say-so’s spinning in my

head, what have I let them do

I’m the deer that’s being

hunted by the cheetah

I’m the bird that will never

Make it out its nest

I’m the bird that will just

watch as all the others fly

Me just watching as others

go on by

How can I let this out when

everyone makes it wrong

I still get burnt when I reach

in with the tong

Question how I dress

What I bring is always less

I find this frustrating

Trying to figure out what I’m saying

From all the choking it’s hard to get

out what to say

It’s getting tighter each and every day

My young life is going to be

over before I know it

and I’m missing every last bit

You only live once is a deep saying

Do I even know what it’s really

saying

Gasping for air, while the water

submerges me

Now it’s getting blurry and

I can’t see
