How The Dog Crossed The Road

I stood there waiting for an opening

Hoping the light would change

But they jus kept coming and going past

With the price of gas I found it rather strange

That all these cars kept running day after day

Through the years life seems to have changed

Yet every day remains the same

I tend to miss my days on the grange

With the little boy I loved so much

Now I am sick and covered with mange

Why did his father take me away from his touch?
