How to Heal/What is Love?

A gentle hand holds

Soft kisses along my jaw

Is this what love is?

I jump at your touch

Scared you will hit me like him

Is this how to heal?

An electric pulse

Warmth floods my lovesick body

Is this what love is?

You don't leave bruises

Yet I still know how to hide

Is this how to heal?

Healing from abuse

You say you won't hurt me like...

Is this what love is?
