How I know Love

We are

whom we want to be

We listen

to whom we trust

                 But we have no say

                 when it comes to love

It rises within us

like a flower in a crack

Strong yet fragile

awaiting a chance

                 When helplessly admired

it tricks you into a trap

The taller you stand it

the deeper the drop

It shatters common sense

and knocks at your heart's doors

                 Ignoring it does not help

it's power and control only grows

It's like a well without ground

a tunnel with no visible light

                 A mysterious creature

you either let it live or wait till it dies.
