" How I See Things "

No one could ever open their eyes wide enough to see how I feel.. I'm walking these halls trying to distinguish what's fake and what's real. It seems like everyone is hurt.. I'm looking out the window into the parking lot.. into desertedness.. It's a mess.. People grabbing me, hugging me, and asking me if I'm okay, but do they really care? All my body allows me to do is sit still with no words and stare. It seems like everyone's story is deeper than the next. They're all trying to compete and see whose memories are the best. I can't look past the scum and disrespect thrown on his name. It's truly a shame. Yes, this is the third person our class of 2014 has lost and it did happen fast, but in the end, it may not even be the last. I guess we all have to move on because time is.. whether we go with it or not. Just try to remember the good times that outweighed the bad. I'm sure there were a lot. Stay true to yourself. Life's too short to frame the motives and personalities of others around you. Enjoy and love everyone, including your enemies, until your heart fails you. Move on from the past so you can embrace your future. Stay strong and stay real, because this is just an overture. R.I.P. Larry Benthall, II
