How It Used To Be Is How It Should Be

Gone are the days

when I laughed with you.

Gone are the days

when we would go to the store

and buy clothes

together.

Gone are the adventures.

Gone are the days

when I felt comfortable

and happy

around you.

Gone

gone

gone

are the days

when I could ask you a question

and expect a thoughtful response.

Gone are the times

when I shared thoughts with you.

These things and more

are very

very

gone

and lost

and I hope

(but don't think)

that they will be coming back.

And it hurts

both you and me

when I say these words

but it doesn't mean

that love

is gone.
