How It's Supposed to Be

Walk into the room,

Look into lonely eyes,

Reach for the aching hand,

Speak with soft words,

THIS is how it's supposed to be.

Walk around the corner,

Help the fallen back onto their feet,

Walk them to their room,

Help them get comfortable and lul them to sleep,

THIS is how it's supposed to be.

Peek into the nursery,

See what souls get to take care of that day,

Ask God to give you the gentle touch,

Pray that this dream never ends,

THIS is how it's supposed to be.
