How Much My Heart Can Hold

She always taught me

To sing

With the windows wide open

She always taught me

It was okay

To not always be okay

But make each day

Mean something

Don't cry

Over spilled milk

But don't ever be afraid

To be afraid

To say so

And when you love

Let yourself go

Only then will you know

How much your heart can hold

He always said

Baby if you love me

You can always have me

He always said

If you got something in your head

Say whatever it is

Don't let it sink this ship

He aways said

I never had to be alone

If I needed him

I had him

He always said

Sometimes love

Is just that easy

Just that good

He said

If I wanted him

I had him

So I take it slow

So I know

How much this heart can hold

So I know

Where to go

When to yes

And when to say no

And I love him so

So very much

And I sing with the windows wide open

I'm not afraid

To be afraid every now and again

And when it's all stuck up in my head

Threatening to make me heart sick

I let it go

And now I know

Just how much

My heart can hold
