How much they care

Grandparents

Loving,

Caring,

They pick me up when my smile is upside down.

Grandparents don't have to be blood,

They can be someone who you know and love

I bet they never knew Just how much they meant to me.

Grandparents can be a woman,

A woman who sits in the back of church.

A woman who always had candy in her purse.

With her loving eyes and caring hands.

I bet she never knew Just how much she meant to me.

Grandparents can even be a man,

A man who lived up the street,

A man who fought for so long,

But in the end he was finally beat

His hands grew weak and his eyes were lost.

I bet he never knew just how much he meant to me.

Grandparents can be the man

The man who always wants to say hello,

The man who knows exactly what to do when you feel icy cold.

With his loving words and and soft hands,

I bet he never knew just how much he meant to me.

They can even be a woman and man,

A woman and man who cares too much

A woman and man who knows no limit to love.

With their warm sunny hugs that make you smile.

A man and woman who I love

A man and woman with nice and warm hugs.

And I bet they don't know how much they truly mean to me.
