How People Found Magic
How the people found magic
Once in a little town of slumber,
There lived a sly little plumber,
Who always aimed to burst the pipes,
He only liked his meals with a pinch of tripe.
The plumber had one favourite customer,
Annie,the inquisitive little youngster,
Whom always listened to his tales of wonder,
And she would only eat a dish with coriander,
Over the years of piping work,
On his scalp, gray hairs began to lurk,
He knew that someday he must go
But who would hold magic, he would woe,
He decided that not so little Annie must be the one,
He must teach her what is to be done.
He told her the secret of magic,
How to stop the town from being tragic.
And so came the day when the plumber would not wake.
And the little girl’s heart began to ache,
At once she ran to the mystic lake,
Where once lived a sacred snake,
She stumbled through the empty path,
Which smelt fresh with the scent of Earth,
When she stumbled through the mist,
"Who goes there?" A senior voice had hissed.
"Please, Oh ancient one grant my plea
Magic must be for all to see!"
The serpents eyes glinted with glee
He hissed “Its time for magic to be free!"
As those words were said, the plumbers coffin opened,
And in the coffin stood sphere that looked foreign
And from that blissful day,
Magic had been in most words that people say.
