How poetry has saved me

Little girl only 7 years old With a pen and paper to escape the big bad world, Scared and alone when surrounded by a sea of people, With their only Escape being the words on the page, Because hell raged on outside of her head, 6 years of hell before any relief, Too scared to put up a fight, Too scared to raise her voice, Too afraid to make a noise, relief finally did come But her relief was a wolf in sheep's clothing, The problems she ran away from just turned into different problems, All those years of hell messed with her head, But even in the Darkness, her pen and paper still saved her from the madness, relief did come once again and when she finally thought she was safe disaster strikes again leaving her nothing but pain and a broken heart, But she still has her pen and paper to save her That girl is me poetry saved me from the hate of others and myself picking up a pen and paper exhaust my anger .Poetry really saved me from the inevitable pain .
