Is This How the Poets Do It?

Is this how the poets do it?

Do they too feel more than most?

Is there a certain way to write

That can get it all out and 

make it okay?

Does it ever go away?

Can it truly turn into art, or

do you need genius too?

Are emotions enough?

How do you placate the soul? 

Can you quiet it or must you 

scream from it,

feed its ravenous hunger

for the beautiful?

Does it ever become beautiful,

like the poets make it?

Is this how the poets do it?
