How thin the glove

How thin the glove

Slipped on

To protect the world from you

Teeth of the brilliant zipper

Running together

An exclusive skeleton trim

How coarse the earth

To be drawn against

Just a few millennia more

and it will be polished smooth

Pocked by your weight

The shape of promise

And oh how it will FEEL

When the rain has finally stopped

Or has finished

Or perhaps

In the end

It never even started

Which won’t matter anyway

Because the dinner bell is ringing

And you haven’t eaten in forever
