HOW WILL I EVER BE THE SAME

mirror mirror on the wall,

who’s the fairest of them all?

since every princess has no flaw

where do the rest of us belong?

i put my book down and i sigh

when will i get a fairy tale of mine?
when will my prince come and find me?

i’m sure he’s out there… could he be?

i didn’t think fairy tales were true

this of course, was before i met you

i thought everyone was lost, or maybe just me

not everyone has the same reality

the day he came, i knew i was wrong

every love movie and every love song

proven to be true, right then and there

as many once said, love is in the air

he helped me see what i could not

if you change your mind, if you change your thoughts,

to give life a chance, to see the good

you’d be so happy, you really would

and all the while, he was by my side

my favorite thing, my biggest pride

even better than prince charming

he was my all, my everything

we were going to last forever and ever

i knew that we were tied together

my fairy tale at last, finally!

until we crashed… like the waves of the sea…

i barely blinked, my life went away

maybe i was cursed, something wasn’t okay

did i do something wrong? why couldn’t he stay…

i remain destroyed to this very day

what has happened to me
