How to write a poem

You begin to think of what to do,

Why is writing hard?

We can start with merely you,

Correcting from the start.

Sometimes it is hard to think,

And sometimes it’s hard to word.

But to think that you will quit so easily,

A possibility absurd.

You can be a lyricist, a poet,

A bard.

But most of all you can be a writer,

It isn’t truly hard.

You can reference absolutely anything,

Big ideas or small,

You can look up fancy words,

Like caesura or befall.

Or you can keep it very simple,

Who am I to judge?

I wrote a poem on how to write a poem,

Which really,

Isn’t much.
