Howl @ the Moon with Friends
Standing with an arrow aimed at my heart
Fell in love with cupid in my dreams
Last night but that doesn’t make sense
Because she was kind of there actually
When I thought about it hard enough
But when I wasn’t looking was when I felt
Her kiss me and I fell forward Into the lake
But I wasn’t drowning
Only knowing
And that was the problem
She told me
Her tears on me
But if I cared in that moment
Then everything else didn’t matter
And I couldn’t see a way out
Of the glass house she built
Around my upside
Around my out
Around the ghost that resides without pay
Stowed away
Lost boys found heroes
With no one to save but themselves
But that was always the war
Or maybe I should treasure the moments
I spent alone eating sushi
And conversing with walls
