H.S.

Would you wonder if you were me…
To see these things I wish to see?

How is it like to see the bus…
And to arrive at those doorways every day?
How is it like to go to class…
And walk to your room down those hallways?
How is it like to be in a classroom…
Or SEVEN classrooms with many others?
How is it like to eat in the cafeteria…
In A, B, or C lunch with one another?
How is it like to be in P.E.…
And the many clubs you'd be a part of?
How is it like to see your peers...
And to be a part of the graduating year?
How is it like to be a senior...
And to graduate with a big celebration?

How is it like to be a student in school?

School can be fun, school can be boring
School have those teachers you might like and hate
School have their ups, and school have their downs
But school is a place where you meet new people

Every school has a name and I've always wondered
If I’d like to be a part of the greater number
To see jocks and geeks and other freaks
But is it all worth it to seek and see?

You would ask “How was it like for you to be home schooled?”
And I would ask “How was it like when you were in high school?”
We'd both reply: “It’s just H.S.

It’s pretty normal and nothing special”

It all depends on what we say
With our point of views heading different ways

I suppose “H.S.” is simply education

With different cultures and different experiences
In the end, both lead to another institution
But high school is something I would never know,

And home school is something you just wouldn't know.
