Hue

My love, it was truly love at first sight

When I looked at you the pain went away

You are so positive, yellow, sunlight

I can look at you all day, everyday

A toxic taste but I loved to drink it

Pigment faded and became lusterless

Array of colors decayed bit by bit

Scintillating to gray it was torment

Throwing me up, trusting you, falling down

The connection went down the drain, it spilled

Stripping me I became black, blue, and Brown

I wanted brighter, I was unfulfilled

You went with the other vacant paint cans

I got the brush to paint myself again
