Human / Abu Karim
I no longer confine my sight to outward Nature;
rather I penetrate my search deeper into it
in search of a human face.
That of working person wet
with perspiration glistening like an open sword under sunlight.
The eyes of peasants working in the field
with unexpressed agony bring out something more,
some valiant information, than the mere sun and shadow
of the paddy field.
Every word, every sound seems to be with melody
the sound of chopping wood,
that of machine, that of breaking bricks
or the siren of mills help me bear them inside myself.
Out of the existence of human is there any mere sound,
is there any mere sight?
