Human Decency.

His blood glistens in the moon light

The city is still but no one can hear his cries

His head is pounding and his clothes are torn

But in his country this is the norm

Even his parents don't understand

How could they? They're all under the church's command.

"It is not Gods way" they said

"You are a sinner, and are better off dead"

Everyone at school picked and teased

And tonight his classmates finally came to fulfill their deed

As they beat him senseless and repeatedly said

"You filthy animal, burn in hell with the rest"

Is loving really such a sin?

He did not choose this life, its just a part of him.

Sometimes he wishes he could run away

But this is the reality of living in Russia and being Gay.
