Human Greed

Half a world across the sea

You sit and wait for your time to leave.

In the middle of a war we don’t need,

All caused by human greed.

You hide, run, and try to live,

All because “leaders” don’t know what peace is.

The war of the world for a second time,

Seeing men go out and die, for a country they call dear.

Young men are sent to die,

As old men wait for their whining cry.

It's never over it's always there

Bones will heal but images don't fade.

There is no need,

For human greed
