The human mind is a devious organ!
It suppresses, exaggerates, or bends all the information it receives
It scans the data thoroughly, never missing an entry
Inspecting every action ever done, every word ever spoken, every thought ever thought of
Does -------- show our deviant tendencies?
Or does -------- highlight our positive attributes?
Its manipulations give us the opportunity to be content with how we've lived our lives
To feel like we are ultimately good people
As if what we've done that’s good balances what we've done that’s wrong
As if we can erase our mistakes with good deeds and kind words
That just maybe, maybe, we won’t rot in hell and be pitied into the embrace of eternal bliss
However, the truth is that we can’t ever take back those cruel words that we've spoken
We can’t ever erase those actions that we've done
We can’t ever go back in time to change any of that
Our minds can only
