A Human Stereotype

"Money can't buy happiness," they say

As they work themselves all night and day

To earn a dollar that will get them nowhere. 

Maybe it's for show or maybe fanfare.

A family sits together at dinner

Talking about the losers and winners

Of life and the many consequences,

Assuring that they stay aware of their senses.

Don't leave what you've loved since the beginning

Because relationships are still prone to thinning.

They need to be cared for like a flower needs tending.

Watering it can't be done by pretending.

Money is needed for many things

Like children's toys or diamond rings.

But there is something that money can't buy

And it can't be seen with the human eye.

It can be felt through a hug or a kiss.

Though it's small, it couldn't be missed.

The feeling of love is absolutely priceless

And forevermore, it will always be timeless.
