Sleeeeeep

I've been running all week, I need to relax

All day moving slowly, like I'm in wax

Help me dear bed, put it all away

This schedule is killing me, I want to stay

Making things harder by enveloping me

Especially when the only other one here is Daphne

I don’t wanna dream, I don’t wanna think

I want that connection, I need that link

I don't know when I'll wake up again

But after last night, we're more than just friends

I don’t want the cover, I can’t take it

Trying to act tough but it's harder to fake it

Than it is to let her wrap me in her arms, tell me “it’s alright”

Not like we've ever argued or said things in spite…

What should we do?

Both of our schedules are more than conflicting

Snakes in our lives, more than constricting

We say we need space without even meaning it

Showing our emotions, no point in concealing it

We attacked each other, we pushed each other away

We hated anything the other had to say

“Your people hate me, curse and despise me.”

“Your people aren't better, they're quick to villainize me!”

We pushed and we pulled, scratched and clawed

Then pulled each other closer, ready to bawl

I forgot about what we'd been through, I forgot all the pain

I forgot all the trials and tribulations, forgot all the strain
