Humanity

It is not an object

nor a thing,

but an idea or concept

something I'd want to bring.

Humanity

the importance of life,

trying to avoid the insanity

and the conflict in yourself; strife.

Once it is lost

you will be too,

it is something you don't want to cross

because once it's done, there's no you.

It has survived throughout history

it is something to be told,

whether you can keep it, is a mystery

it's stronger than anything you can hold.

Without it, we're like an empty island

blank and dead,

a place without highlands

just a forest instead.

Humanity is what holds us together

without it, we're nothing but beasts in the wild;

So you ask me what I want to bring now and forever

Humanity is what I bring to the lost isle.
