Humanity

Dear Humanity,

Cruel beings we are,

we each do what we want, but

none take responsibility.

Each day is dark,

leaves falling day by day,

alone to float and fall.

The sun never shines,

there was once a ray of light,

a twinkle very faint

it lit the way yet,

as fast as it came

it left.

The dirt has darkened

with no way out

all to be seen is darkness.

The leaves have crumbled.
