Where did we go wrong?

In all the progress that has been going on

it seems as though we lost sight of what's important

Now it seems freedom aint free

my dad is fighting for me

but I can't do what I want.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,

taken away by some men in congress,

they think they can do it but they can't.

Nothing gets done to bring our power back

except a comment on facebook or another hashtag.

But I, like my father, will start fighting this instant.

This is very powerful and I am very enamored with the rhyming scheme.
