Humans Are Butterflies
The way life is
Goes a little something like this
First born learning to crawl
Going with the motions of it all
Trying to learn who's friend or foe
Self identity comes naturally slow
You walk around happily
When things go right finally
You're growing now gettting the hang of things
Ready for whatever the world decides to bring
The way life is
Goes a little something like this
Suddenly you feel trapped in a cocoon of darkness
Confused and alone leaving you lifeless
No one there to hear your screams for help
Only person you really got is yourself
You close your eyes , ready to give up
You can't take it anymore, you've had enough
Pain consumes your body with each ache
Transformation takes place day by day
The way life is
Goes a little something like this
You finally open your eyes one last time
The world suddenly seems more bright
You have been set free with new wings to fly
No longer is the sudden urge to die
A new purpose has been born to keep you alive
Alongside you in the dark was the Hopeful Light
You've now experienced a butterfly in real life
Finding your way as time goes by
Never lose hope as the catepillar tried
Cocoons will trap you but you'll always survive
