humble beginnings

gratefully appreciative humbly spectating my friends sery, tato, prisionera, and jorge (georgie) take initiative as they perform their poems on stage express their poems with no fear nor rage assert their passion with love, fire, and emotion more genuine than someone stealing a line from a page as i watch them perform, i became more intuitive of embracing poetry of all form to some viewers, it may be consider not the typical norm they were not afraid they perform not because of the paid it was for the moment it was that time to showcase their talent that was when it dawned on me to have that opportunity to let me be let all viewers one day see when my time comes to perform, my poems are so genuinely heartfelt that people won't flee i thank my fellow poets in embracing the art that's poetic my words of meaning will impact lives that's floetic never believe in wasting anyone's time i say what i mean, i mean what i say that is worth more than three nickels and a single dime it is even more empowering to see my boricua poets speak overrides societies perception of Spanish people being a sneak
