A Humbled Kid in a Crazy World

The world I live in is full of craziness and hatred,

but I know for a fact that I will survive it.

Life can get stressful in a thousand ways,

so I look to the clouds to ask God to bring better days.

Hearing that my dad cheated on my mom made me want to fight,

seeing her hurt was a painful and scary sight.

I was upset with my dad for a long time,

during that time I felt like committing a crime.

I felt the demons in the shadows that kept trying to creep,

haunting me in my dreams which made it hard for me to sleep.

I been having conflicts with my inner demons and putting up a fight,

there was always a brighter day after making it through a darker night.

I heard that keeping a smile is a way to keep from crying,

that was almost impossible when some of my relatives were dying.

My heart is warm but the world is cold,

I hope the person I love will never ever fold.

She is one of the good people unlike the others in this world,

I see her as a smart young lady while others might see her as a short helpless girl.

She always told me to be happy and not to frown,

while other people in this cold world would try to bring me down.

For most of my life I been hurt,

the healing process is taking a lot of work.

Every time I pray I ask God to forgive me for my sins,

I also learned that being a humbled kid is a way that I could win.

The person I love told me that it's okay to shed tears,

the longest time I cried felt just like years.

Even if most people in this crazy world have cold hearts,

there are good people that love me and will be here with me like they were from the start.

The love that I have for them will spread like a fire that just sparked,

before I finish this, I want to let them know that I love them with all of my heart.
