Proverbs 29:23           New English Translation

23 A person’s pride will bring him low,

but one who has a lowly spirit will gain honor.

Humble

Lowliness misunderstood not looking down on one’s self

It is not looking at self at all, but living simple and true

Humility embraces him, whose attitude towards self

Is that of knowing self the best, his weakness, flaws, and mood

Humility is not only Godward but also towards man

Engrained by Christ, Himself, He was lowly and meek

A true living example of how we should be the best we can

No guile, no pride or hypocrisy, just love, care, and weak
