humming to honey

It feels like I'm stretching, maybe growing

making room inside my body for myself

like I'm figuring out how much room I need to fully spread my wings

butterfly wings - full of colors I didn't even know I had before tonight

and I can't wait to paint my sky with the shade of your eyes

but for now I'll stay here in this cocoon

growing, stretching, waiting

the day is coming soon - I can feel it

the day where I'll be a human instead of a nerve ending

or, hell, a butterfly instead of a human

the day is coming

I can feel it, and I'm ready
