Hummingbird
My little angel
fly away.
Up towards heaven,
Go today.
And tomorrow
I'll be there
I'll look for you
And I'll try not to stare.
After I climb the stairs,
And find you, we'll go everywhere.
Like we used to when you were here.
I feel you when you wipe every tear,
That I shed for you.
If you could still be here
I would've bled for you.
I'd help get that bread with you.
Keep me safe like you said you'd do.
My little angel
fly fast away.
Don't stay
here
& wipe my tears.
I'll be ok.
I want you to go your own way.
Leave me behind
& go get your wings.
Even though I'm hurting
I have some things
I have to discover on my own.
I'm hurting here & I feel alone.
But I want you to be happy & go on home.
You were here & gone
In the blink of an eye.
I
know you hate to see me cry.
I can't lie
my heart is broken & I don't know why
I can't have you back.
I know you wanted to stack
& stay with racks.
& it's so wack.
That you can't have that.
But I'll do it for you.
If you promise to fly away.
Because there is nothing
here for you on this cold world
if you stay.
Go today.
I'll be there tomorrow.
Don't mind my sorrow.
